Will Harris Evening 9th February

Former Papercourt youth sailor Will Harris is coming to Papercourt on 9th February at 6.30pm to regale us with his experiences and adventures as an Ocean Racing Skipper.  

A professional ocean racer with a lifelong ambition to represent Great Britain in the Vendee Globe Will has developed a wealth of experience in the Ocean Racing scene. At 28-years-old, he is amongst the youngest in the world navigating at a professional level.
He has been Co-skipper of the IMOCA 60 Team Malizia who sailed the climate activist Greta Thunberg to New York Climate Summit in 2019. Here he developed a true understanding of what it takes to create a successful ocean racing campaign, and became one of the co-skippers of Team Malizia for The Ocean Race, a round the world crewed sailing race taking place in 2023.

His passion is for the ocean, and he likes to combine the enduring sport of ocean racing with ocean research, having graduated from the University of Southampton 2015 BSc Oceanography.

Tickets are £10 for Adults and £5 for under 18s.  Profits will be shared with our supported charities.
